With four airports within a 220 mile radius−and one just six miles away−Snowmass is one of the most accessible Colorado ski resorts. If you’re willing and able to pay for it, flying into Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is by far the easiest way to get to Snowmass. Nearly every Snowmass lodging option provides airport pick up, but advance reservations are recommended.
If you want to limit your travel time and not spend ASE prices, look at fares into Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), located 70 miles from Snowmass. You’ll find even cheaper pricing from Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT). But if you’re looking for truly affordable Snowmass ski vacation consider flying into Denver International Airport (DIA), which is 220 miles from Snowmass or four hours of driving on I-70 West. The drive is quite exquisite especially as you drive in the Loveland Pass area via the Eisenhower Tunnel and drive over breathtaking Vail Pass.
Snowmass, like nearly every major ski resort in Colorado, is accessible via Colorado Mountain Express (CME), an efficient and affordable shuttle system to whisk you from DIA, ASE or EGE to your Rocky Mountain ski vacation. You can also arrange for a rental car at all of these airports.
