    About Heavenly Ski Resort

If partying is the name of your ski vacation game, then Heavenly should be a top-of-mind choice for the next mountain getaway. Between the rowdy après-session at Unbuckle in Tamarack and late-night excursions at one of the many “Stateline” hotel-casinos, a Heavenly ski vacation is meant for those who look for excitement around every corner.

It’s also a great ski destination if you value tons of terrain, exceptional views of a glittering Lake Tahoe, endless dining options, swanky lodging, and great shopping. Families visiting Heavenly on a ski vacation will also be pleasantly surprised to find plenty of fun and healthy activities like tubing, snow biking and sledding at Adventure Peak below Tamarack Lodge.

    Ski Heavenly

Intermediate and expert terrain comprise the majority of the mountain’s 4,800 skiable acres. Beginner skiers are relegated to one or two sections of the mountain, which may be frustrating for some novice skiers who are used to more comprehensive access. But the more contained access is actually beneficial as beginners don’t have to navigate the many fast, steeper blue trails and worry about avoiding other skiers. The majority of the beginner terrain is found off the Powderbowl Express chairlift, so beginners can still experience incredible alpine views of Lake Tahoe. Intermediates rule Heavenly. There are several blue runs, like Skyline Trail or Ridge Run from the top of the Sky Express chairlift, that can be skied from the mountain’s summit to the base area, and offer not only iconic skiing but breathtaking views. Intermediate skiers have an entire blue gladed area, Powderbowl Woods to enjoy. Expert skiers can test their mettle on the double-black “Hollywood line” under Gunbarrel Express, called The Face. Experts also have tons of challenging gladed runs to choose from, and two hike-to, gate-accessed canyons. Here, experts will find numerous steep chutes to ski.
