As you drive up to the resort, you’ll notice how the volcano formed natural halfpipe-like gullies which extend from the summit and wind down into tree level. Designated trails have been cut to match the terrain’s natural flow. You won’t find anything like Mt. Bachelor’s playful trails. Blessed with an annual snowfall of 387 inches, a Mt. Advanced and expert skiers can experience 60 percent of Mt. Bachelor’s terrain, including the 360-degree skiing from resort’s 9,065-foot summit. Experts Intermediate will have a ball meandering around Mt. Bachelor’s many groomed trails. Intermediate skiers have a plethora of blue runs off of the top of 9,000-foot Summit Chair. Intermediates and expert skiers alike, can ski or ride Mt. Bachelor’s 3,300 vertical feet. Beginners have tons of options on the East side of the mountain. First time skiers and boarders don’t even need to pay for a lift ticket at Mt. Bachelor, thanks to the area’s complimentary Carrousel lift found near the Sunrise Lodge. Park skiers and boarders are also well represented thanks to the Bachelor Parks area, which features medium and large parks underneath the Skyliner Express.
