Skiers and snowboarders who enjoy long runs and see-forever views will appreciate the resort’s famous “Canalone” trail, which unites Pizzo Groppiera and Pian dei Larici areas via a 1,000-vertical-meter (3,200-vertical-foot) drop over three kilometers (1.8 miles). The snow conditions are typically well maintained during the winter season, but Madesimo has excellent snowmaking capabilities ensuring ski vacationers have prime snow conditions. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders will enjoy defying gravity at Acquarela Snowpark. Three gondolas and nine hi-speed chairlifts transport skiers around Madesimo slopes.

Those who don’t ski or are looking for a day off the slopes can enjoy sledding, ice skating, and snowmobiling during their Madesimo ski vacation. It’s also possible to make a day trip to Milan—the region’s capital—or to the famously beautiful Lake Como.
